Out of District Professional Learning

Katy ISD offers employees many opportunities to attend out-of-district trainings that enhance skills or knowledge required for job assignments. Participants may receive Professional Learning Credit in Eduphoria Workshop for out-of-district training by submitting required documentation in a timely manner. 

Please review the information below for guidance on submitting your Out-of-District (OOD) documentation for credit. 

Before Training: 

1. Complete Out of District (OOD) Professional Development Credit Request.pdf

2. Check the Approved OOD Learning Events list. If the training you will attend is on the list, skip step 3. 

3. If the out-of-district training is not on the approved list, obtain Principal signature on the OOD form. 

4. Obtain funding as needed from campus or department.

If requesting GT Credit: If participant is seeking GT credit, prior approval must be obtained through the of Office of GT/AAS. Participant must complete the GT Update Approval Form  and submit to the Office of GT/AAS for approval.  

After Training:

To obtain credit, upload the following documents into Eduphoria/Strive in My Portfolio. Click here for screenshot instructions.

1. Completed OOD Form 

2. Proof of attendance showing credit hours earned. Certificates showing credit hours are preferred, but Professional Learning will also accept completed conference attendance schedules.
